July 2023 - Emma attends the Hands-On Photovoltaic Experience (HOPE) workshop at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
July 2023 - Wan-Ju received the SPIE Student Conference Support to participate in the 2023 SPIE Optics + Photonics Meeting in San Diego, CA. She will present her work on the utilization of scalable vapor transport deposition (VTD) process to realize efficient perovskite photovoltaics.
June 2023 - Evgeny has been awarded a 2023 Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. This award goes to SPIE Student Members for potential long-term contributions to the optics and photonics community.
May 2023 - Evgeny, Siliang (Brian), Yicheng (Betty), and Emma presented posters at the annual meeting of the UMN Industrial Partnership for Research in Interfacial and Materials Engineering (IPRIME) as part of the Optoelectronics and Metamaterials program. Emma received a poster award for her poster entitled: Metal-Halide Perovskite Photovoltaic Cells via Vapor Transport Deposition. This work is a collaborative effort with fellow graduate student Wan-Ju and researchers at M.I.T.
May 2023 - The Holmes Research Group welcomed Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna, to the laboratories to share details of our work on perovskite photovoltaics.
